Biography

Nicolas is a PhD student in informatics at the University of California, Irvine. He received his MS in systems and computer engineering in 2005, and his BS in systems and computer engineering in 2004, both from the University of Los Andes, Bogota, Colombia. His research focuses on promoting a concern based view of software engineering where concerns, the areas of interest for stakeholders and their manifestation in software artifacts, are at the center of the development process. In 2009 Nicolas was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to pursue a doctoral degree in software engineering; prior to this he was Instructor at University of Los Andes where he was lecturer of several software engineering courses for undergraduate students during 8 semesters.
